This simple, satisfying ground beef casserole is perfect for busy weeknights or when you need a hearty meal with minimal ingredients. With just five main ingredients, you can have a warm and cheesy casserole ready to serve in about an hour.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 to 2 pounds ground beef
- 10.5-ounce can of condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 10.5-ounce can of condensed cream of cheddar cheese soup
- 3 cups frozen cubed potatoes
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, divided
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until fully browned, breaking it into small pieces. Drain any excess grease.
- Transfer the cooked ground beef to a large mixing bowl. Add the cream of mushroom soup and cream of cheddar cheese soup, stirring until evenly combined.
- Add the frozen cubed potatoes and 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese to the mixture, and season with a pinch of salt and pepper. Stir everything together to combine.
- Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch casserole dish, spreading it out evenly. Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
- Cover the casserole dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Then, carefully remove the foil and bake for an additional 30 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
