Beef Roast Pot Recipe
Ingredients:
- A handful of small carrots
- 1 potato, chopped
- 3 tablespoons of Creole seasoning
- 1 tablespoon of black pepper
- 2 tablespoons of onion powder
- 1 tablespoon of garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon of dried celery flakes
- 1 tablespoon of dried parsley
- 1 cup of water
Instructions:
- Prepare the Vegetables: Chop the potato and carrots into bite-sized pieces and set them aside.
- Season the Beef: Rub the beef generously with the Creole seasoning, black pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, celery flakes, and parsley to ensure full flavor.
- Sear the Beef: In a skillet, heat a little oil over medium-high heat. Sauté the beef until it’s nicely browned on all sides, which locks in the juices and enhances the flavor.
- Prepare for Baking: Place the seared beef into a casserole dish. Pour in 1 cup of water, and if desired, add more Creole seasoning for an extra kick. Cover the dish tightly with tin foil to seal in the moisture.
- Bake: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the beef, covered, for approximately 2 ½ hours. This slow cooking time tenderizes the beef, making it juicy and flavorful.
- Add Vegetables: After 2 ½ hours, carefully remove the tin foil. Add the chopped carrots and potatoes to the casserole dish around the beef.
- Finish Baking: Return the casserole dish to the oven and bake uncovered for an additional 30 minutes or until the vegetables are tender and the beef is fully cooked.
- Serve: Remove from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy this hearty beef roast with family and friends!
