Salted Caramel Banana Bread

Salted Caramel Banana Bread
A deliciously moist banana bread elevated with a rich salted caramel glaze. Perfect for a cozy treat or a sweet gift!
Ingredients
For the Banana Bread:
- 2 cups all-purpose (AP) flour
 - 1 teaspoon baking soda
 - 1 teaspoon cinnamon
 - ½ teaspoon salt
 - ¾ cup brown sugar, packed
 - ½ cup butter (1 stick), room temperature
 - 2 eggs
 - ⅓ cup sour cream
 - 4 ripe bananas, mashed
 - 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract

For the Salted Caramel Glaze:
- ¼ cup brown sugar, packed
 - 2 tablespoons butter
 - 2 tablespoons heavy cream
 - ⅓ cup powdered sugar
 - ½ teaspoon kosher salt

Instructions
1. Prepare the Banana Bread:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan and set aside.
 - In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
 - In a large mixing bowl, beat the brown sugar and butter until creamy. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
 - Stir in the sour cream, mashed bananas, and vanilla extract until well combined.
 - Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture. Mix just until combined—do not overmix to keep the bread soft and tender.
 - Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 55-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack.

2. Make the Salted Caramel Glaze:
- In a small saucepan, combine the brown sugar and butter over medium heat. Stir constantly until the mixture boils and the sugar fully dissolves, about 1 minute.
 - Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the heavy cream.
 - Gradually add the powdered sugar and kosher salt, whisking until smooth. Allow the glaze to cool for about 5 minutes.

3. Glaze and Serve:
Once the bread has cooled slightly, pour the salted caramel glaze over the top. Let it set for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
Pro Tip: For an extra indulgent touch, sprinkle a pinch of flaky sea salt over the glaze before it sets.
