How to Make Air Fryer Beef Jerky

Beef jerky is a classic, protein-packed snack that’s easy to make at home with an air fryer. This recipe combines savory and slightly sweet flavors, resulting in a delicious treat perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb thinly sliced beef steak (sirloin or round steak)
  • 1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes (optional, adjust for spiciness)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Marinade: In a bowl, mix Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, honey, onion powder, and chili flakes until combined.
  2. Cut the Beef: Slice the beef into thin, even strips or squares for consistent drying.
  3. Marinate the Beef: Place the beef strips in the marinade, ensuring they’re fully coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 3 hours or overnight for maximum flavor.
  4. Dry the Beef: Remove the strips from the marinade and pat them dry with paper towels to remove excess liquid.
  5. Arrange in the Air Fryer: Place the strips in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring no pieces overlap.
  6. Air Fry the Jerky: Set the air fryer to 210°F (100°C) and cook for 2 hours. Check for dryness; if needed, continue cooking in 15-20 minute intervals until fully dried. Ensure the jerky reaches an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).
  7. Cool and Store: Let the jerky cool completely before storing in an airtight container to maintain freshness.

Enjoy your homemade air fryer beef jerky—a perfect snack for any occasion!
