Ingredients (Serves 4):
- 4 sub rolls
- ¼ lb salami, thinly sliced
- ¼ lb ham, thinly sliced
- ¼ lb pepperoni or capicola, thinly sliced
- 8 slices provolone or mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup banana peppers, sliced
- ¼ cup red onion, thinly sliced
For the Sauce:
- ½ cup Italian dressing
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
- 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
- ½ tsp garlic powder
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare the subs by slicing each roll lengthwise, being careful not to cut all the way through. Layer with salami, ham, pepperoni (or capicola), cheese, banana peppers, and red onion.
- Mix the sauce ingredients and brush generously on the insides and tops of the rolls.
- Bake the assembled subs on the prepared baking sheet for 10–15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the rolls are crisp and golden.
- Let cool slightly before serving. These subs are best enjoyed warm.
Tip: Serve with a side of marinara sauce or your favorite chips for an extra treat.
