Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Beef

  • Toss beef tips with flour, salt, and pepper until well coated.
  • In a large skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat.
  • Sear beef in batches until browned on all sides. Transfer to a plate.

Step 2: Sauté the Onions

  • Add diced onions to the same skillet and cook for about 2 minutes, scraping up the browned bits.

Slow Cooker Method

  • Transfer beef and onions to the slow cooker.
  • Add mushrooms, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, rosemary, bouillon cube, Worcestershire sauce, pepperoncinis, bay leaf, and beef stock.
