For Serving:

  • Marinara sauce, ranch dressing, or aioli (for dipping)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Breading Station

Set up three shallow bowls:

  • Bowl 1: Add flour, seasoned with salt and pepper.
  • Bowl 2: Beat the eggs until smooth.
  • Bowl 3: Mix panko, Parmesan, garlic, parsley, paprika, salt, and pepper.

Step 2: Bread the Mushrooms

  • Dip each mushroom into the flour (Bowl 1), then into the eggs (Bowl 2).
  • Roll in the breadcrumb mixture (Bowl 3), pressing gently to coat.
  • Place on a plate or tray while repeating with the rest.

Step 3: Fry the Mushrooms

  • Heat 1/2 inch of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Test oil with a breadcrumb—if it sizzles, it’s ready.
  • Fry mushrooms in batches for 2–3 minutes until golden and crisp.
  • Drain on a paper towel-lined plate.

Step 4: Garnish and Serve

  • Sprinkle with fresh parsley.
  • Serve immediately with dipping sauces.

  • Don’t overcrowd the pan—fry in small batches.
  • Add a pinch of cayenne to the breadcrumb mix for a spicy kick.
