Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Breading Station
Set up three shallow bowls:
- Bowl 1: Add flour, seasoned with salt and pepper.
- Bowl 2: Beat the eggs until smooth.
- Bowl 3: Mix panko, Parmesan, garlic, parsley, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Step 2: Bread the Mushrooms
- Dip each mushroom into the flour (Bowl 1), then into the eggs (Bowl 2).
- Roll in the breadcrumb mixture (Bowl 3), pressing gently to coat.
- Place on a plate or tray while repeating with the rest.
Step 3: Fry the Mushrooms
- Heat 1/2 inch of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Test oil with a breadcrumb—if it sizzles, it’s ready.
- Fry mushrooms in batches for 2–3 minutes until golden and crisp.
- Drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
Step 4: Garnish and Serve
- Sprinkle with fresh parsley.
- Serve immediately with dipping sauces.
Tips for Success
- Use firm, fresh mushrooms for best texture.
- Don’t overcrowd the pan—fry in small batches.
- Add a pinch of cayenne to the breadcrumb mix for a spicy kick.
