Why You’ll Love It

  • Loaded with flavor thanks to a blend of spices and melted cheese
  • Customizable using either ground beef or steak strips, your choice of noodles, and any mixed veggies you have on hand

Ingredients

Ingredient Quantity
Ground beef (or thinly sliced steak strips) 1 lb
Olive oil 1 tablespoon
Small onion, diced 1
Red bell pepper, sliced 1
Frozen mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn) 1 cup
Garlic powder 1 teaspoon
Onion powder 1 teaspoon
Paprika (smoked paprika adds depth) 1 teaspoon
Salt To taste
Pepper To taste
Cooked elbow macaroni or egg noodles 2 cups
Shredded cheddar cheese (or a mix of cheeses) 1 cup

Instructions

  1. Prep the Ingredients: Dice the onion and slice the red bell pepper. If you’re not using pre-cooked noodles, boil them until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  2. Cook the Beef: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef or steak strips and cook until browned, breaking the meat apart. Drain excess fat, then stir in garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for 1 more minute to enhance the flavors.
  3. Sauté the Vegetables: Add diced onion and bell pepper. Cook for 5 minutes until softened. Add frozen mixed vegetables and cook for another 3–4 minutes.
  4. Combine Everything: Stir in the cooked noodles. Mix well, remove from heat, and sprinkle cheese evenly over the top.
  5. Melt & Serve: Cover the skillet and let sit for 5 minutes to melt the cheese. Garnish with fresh parsley, crushed red pepper, or sour cream if desired. Serve hot.
