Quick and Flavorful Garlic Flatbreads in Just 10 Minutes

Ingredients

For the Flatbreads:

  • 350g flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • A pinch of salt
  • 60ml oil
  • 120ml water

For the Garlic Oil:

  • Pressed garlic (quantity to taste)
  • A small amount of oil
  • Fresh herbs to taste (such as parsley, cilantro, or rosemary)

Preparation

  1. Prepare the Dough: In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and a pinch of salt. Add the oil and water to the dry ingredients. Mix using your hands or a dough mixer until a smooth dough forms. Adjust the consistency as needed: add more flour if the dough is too sticky or more water if it is too dry.
  2. Shape the Flatbreads: Divide the dough into small portions and roll each into a ball. On a lightly floured surface, use a rolling pin to flatten each ball into a flatbread. Aim for a thickness of about 1/8 to 1/4 inch, depending on your preference.
  3. Cook the Flatbreads: Heat a non-stick skillet or frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, place a flatbread in the pan. Cook each side for 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown and slightly puffed. Repeat with the remaining flatbreads.
  4. Prepare the Garlic Oil: In a small bowl, mix a small amount of oil with the pressed garlic and your chosen herbs. This mixture will be used to brush the flatbreads.
  5. Brush with Garlic Oil: Once each flatbread is cooked, brush the warm flatbreads with the garlic oil mixture. This will impart a delicious garlicky and herbaceous flavor.
