Savory Crescent Roll Bake Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 cans (8 ounces each) of refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 2 cups of cooked, shredded chicken
- 1 cup of cooked vegetables (such as bell peppers, broccoli, and onions)
- 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup of softened cream cheese
- 1/4 cup of mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon of onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon of poppy seeds (optional)
- Fresh thyme or parsley for garnish
Preparation:
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Prepare the Filling: In a large bowl, mix the shredded chicken, cooked vegetables, softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until thoroughly combined.
- Assemble the Rolls: Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into individual triangles. Place a generous spoonful of the chicken mixture onto the wide end of each triangle. Sprinkle cheddar and mozzarella cheese over the filling.
- Roll and Arrange: Starting from the wide end, carefully roll up each triangle toward the point. Place the rolls in a single layer in the prepared baking dish.
- Top with Cheese: Sprinkle the remaining cheddar and mozzarella cheese over the top of the crescent rolls. If desired, add poppy seeds over the cheese.
- Bake: Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the crescent rolls are golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish and Serve: Let the rolls cool for a few minutes after baking. Garnish with fresh thyme or parsley. Serve hot.
