This flavor combination is an explosion in your mouth! The slow cooker meatloaf, infused with the savory notes of French onion soup mix, promises to be a hit at your dinner table.

Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 envelope French onion soup mix
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup ketchup, divided
  • 1 egg
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Directions:

  1. Prepare the Meatloaf Mixture: In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, French onion soup mix, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, milk, egg, and 1/4 cup of ketchup until well combined.
  2. Shape and Place in Slow Cooker: Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in your slow cooker.
  3. Add Toppings: Spread the remaining 1/4 cup of ketchup over the top of the meatloaf. Layer the thinly sliced onions on top of the ketchup.
  4. Drizzle with Worcestershire Sauce: Drizzle the Worcestershire sauce over the onions.
  5. Cook: Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours, or until the meatloaf reaches an internal temperature of 160°F (70°C).
  6. Rest and Serve: Let the meatloaf rest for about 10 minutes before slicing and serving. Sprinkle with fresh parsley, if desired.
