Butter Swim Biscuits

Butter Swim Biscuits
Ingredients:
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups buttermilk
- 1 stick butter
- 4 tsp baking powder
- 4 tsp sugar
- 2 tsp salt
Instructions:
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Prepare the Dry Ingredients: In a medium-sized bowl, combine all of the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
- Mix the Dough: Add the buttermilk to the dry ingredients and mix until a moist dough forms.
- Melt the Butter: Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl. Once melted, pour it into an 8×8 or 9×9 baking dish. Ensure the pan is not too small or shallow to prevent the butter from spilling out during baking.
- Prepare the Dough for Baking: Place the dough directly on top of the melted butter. Use a spatula to spread it evenly across the pan until it touches the sides.
- Cut the Dough: Cut the unbaked dough (which should be swimming in butter at this point) into 9 even squares.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
Serving Suggestion:
Enjoy these versatile biscuits for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. They pair wonderfully with any meal, and for a special treat, try them with raspberry jam.
