Cheesy Garlic Breadsticks Recipe
Cheesy Garlic Breadsticks Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 pound of pizza dough (homemade or store-bought)
- 2 tbsp melted unsalted butter
- 2 minced garlic cloves
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Marinara sauce for dipping (optional)
Preparation:
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Prepare a baking sheet by either greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
- Roll Out the Dough: On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough to your desired thickness. For thicker breadsticks, roll it to about 1/2 inch thickness. If you prefer thinner breadsticks, flatten the dough a bit more.
- Cut Into Sticks: Using a pizza cutter or a sharp knife, slice the dough into strips about 1 inch wide.
- Prepare the Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
- Brush the Dough: Generously brush the garlic butter mixture over the surface of the dough strips.
- Add Cheese Topping: Evenly sprinkle shredded mozzarella over the dough strips, followed by a sprinkling of grated Parmesan. For extra flavor, you can also add a pinch of dried oregano if desired.
- Twist the Breadsticks: Carefully twist each dough strip and place them on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring there’s some space between each one.
- Bake: Bake the breadsticks in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes, or until they are golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve: Once baked, allow the breadsticks to cool slightly. Serve them warm, and if desired, pair with marinara sauce for dipping.
