Ham and Cheese Sticks
Crescent Rolls with Ham and Melted Cheese
Ingredients:
- 2 tubes croissant dough sheets
- 1 lb. sliced deli ham
- 8 sticks cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1/2 tablespoon chopped onion or onion powder
- 1/2 tablespoon poppy seeds
Directions:
- Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a baking sheet by either greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
- Prepare the Dough: Unroll the croissant dough sheets and cut each into 4 pieces, resulting in 8 pieces total.
- Assemble the Sticks: Divide the sliced ham evenly among the 8 pieces of dough. Place a stick of cheddar cheese on top of the ham on each piece. Fold in the ends of each piece and roll them to seal.
- Arrange on Baking Sheet: Place the prepared sticks on the prepared baking sheet.
- Make the Glaze: In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, chopped onion (or onion powder), and poppy seeds.
- Apply the Glaze: Brush the butter mixture over each stick.
- Bake: Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the sticks are golden brown.
- Serve: Enjoy your ham and cheese sticks warm and fresh from the oven!
