Introduction

Crockpot Pineapple Barbecue Meatballs are the perfect combination of savory, sweet, and tangy flavors.
Whether you’re preparing a simple weeknight dinner, hosting a potluck, or making an effortless appetizer,
this recipe brings all the flavor with almost no effort. With juicy meatballs simmered in a rich
pineapple-barbecue sauce, your slow cooker does all the heavy lifting.

Description

This dish features tender meatballs coated in a sticky, sweet, and tangy sauce made from barbecue sauce
and pineapple. As they slowly cook, the flavors deepen and meld together, creating a mouthwatering glaze.
These meatballs are great served over rice, as a party appetizer, or right from the crockpot.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs frozen fully cooked meatballs (beef, turkey, or chicken)

For the Sauce:

  • 2 cups barbecue sauce
  • 1 can (20 oz) pineapple chunks with juice
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  1. Set your slow cooker to low heat and lightly spray it with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Pour the frozen meatballs into the crockpot.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine barbecue sauce, pineapple chunks with juice, brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well.
  4. Pour the sauce evenly over the meatballs.
  5. Cook on Low for 4–6 hours or High for 2–3 hours, stirring occasionally.
  6. Serve warm as an appetizer or over rice or mashed potatoes.

Tips

  • Use honey BBQ sauce for extra sweetness or spicy BBQ for some heat.
  • Add bell peppers or onions for added texture and flavor.
  • Use crushed pineapple instead of chunks for a smoother sauce.
  • If the sauce is too thin, uncover the crockpot for the last 20–30 minutes to thicken.
  • Leftovers reheat wonderfully and make an easy meal prep option.

Correction

If your sauce becomes too sweet, balance it with one of the following:

  • 1–2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • A splash of vinegar
  • A pinch of salt

If your sauce becomes too thick, thin it out with a little pineapple juice or water.

Enjoy

Serve these delicious Crockpot Pineapple Barbecue Meatballs at your next gathering, family dinner,
or holiday party. They’re easy, flavorful, and guaranteed to be a hit. Enjoy every sweet–and–savory bite!
