Homemade Spaghetti Recipe

Homemade Spaghetti

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • ½ yellow onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • 1 tbsp fresh garlic, minced
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 jar spaghetti sauce
  • 1 can diced tomatoes (optional)
  • 16 ounces spaghetti noodles

Instructions:

  1. Set your Air Pot to the “Sauté” mode.
  2. Once preheated, add the olive oil and chopped onion. Sauté until the onions are slightly softened.
  3. Add the ground beef, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and minced garlic. Cook until the meat is browned and fully cooked.
  4. Remove the cooked meat and onion mixture. Add water to the pot and thoroughly scrape the bottom to prevent the “Burn” warning.
  5. Break the spaghetti noodles in half and place them in the pot in a crisscross pattern.
  6. Pour the spaghetti sauce over the noodles, then add the can of diced tomatoes on top of the sauce.
  7. Pour the water around the sides and over the tomatoes, making sure the spaghetti is well-covered.
  8. Press down slightly to ensure the spaghetti is submerged.
  9. Place the lid on the pot, set the valve to “Sealing,” and select the “Pressure Cook” setting. Set the timer for 5 minutes.
  10. Once cooking is complete, allow a natural release of pressure for 5 minutes. Then perform a quick release until the pressure pin drops.
  11. Carefully open the lid and stir the spaghetti, sauce, tomatoes, and meat until well combined.
  12. Serve with a side salad and garlic cheese toast, if desired.
