Homemade Spaghetti
Ingredients:
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- ½ yellow onion, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
- 1 tbsp fresh garlic, minced
- 3 cups water
- 1 jar spaghetti sauce
- 1 can diced tomatoes (optional)
- 16 ounces spaghetti noodles
Instructions:
- Set your Air Pot to the “Sauté” mode.
- Once preheated, add the olive oil and chopped onion. Sauté until the onions are slightly softened.
- Add the ground beef, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and minced garlic. Cook until the meat is browned and fully cooked.
- Remove the cooked meat and onion mixture. Add water to the pot and thoroughly scrape the bottom to prevent the “Burn” warning.
- Break the spaghetti noodles in half and place them in the pot in a crisscross pattern.
- Pour the spaghetti sauce over the noodles, then add the can of diced tomatoes on top of the sauce.
- Pour the water around the sides and over the tomatoes, making sure the spaghetti is well-covered.
- Press down slightly to ensure the spaghetti is submerged.
- Place the lid on the pot, set the valve to “Sealing,” and select the “Pressure Cook” setting. Set the timer for 5 minutes.
- Once cooking is complete, allow a natural release of pressure for 5 minutes. Then perform a quick release until the pressure pin drops.
- Carefully open the lid and stir the spaghetti, sauce, tomatoes, and meat until well combined.
- Serve with a side salad and garlic cheese toast, if desired.
