Ingredients
Ingredient | Quantity |
---|---|
Crescent Roll Dough | 1 can (8 oz) |
Ground Sausage | 1 lb |
Cheddar Cheese | 1 cup, shredded |
Mozzarella Cheese | 1 cup, shredded |
Italian Seasoning | 1 teaspoon |
Garlic Powder | 1/2 teaspoon |
Crushed Red Pepper Flakes | 1/4 teaspoon (optional) |
Fresh Parsley | For garnish |
Instructions
1. Prepare the Sausage Filling
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground sausage until fully browned.
- Drain any excess grease and allow the sausage to cool slightly.
2. Assemble the Crescent Ring
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- On a large baking sheet, unroll the crescent roll dough and separate into triangles.
- Arrange the triangles in a circular shape, with the pointed ends facing outward and the wide ends overlapping in the center.
- Sprinkle half of the cheddar and mozzarella cheese evenly over the dough.
- Add the cooked sausage on top, followed by the remaining cheese.
- Fold the pointed ends of the dough over the filling and tuck them under the center to form a ring.
3. Bake the Crescent Ring
- Lightly brush the top of the ring with melted butter or an egg wash.
- Sprinkle with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes if desired.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and cooked through.
4. Serve and Enjoy
- Allow the ring to cool slightly.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley for a pop of color and freshness.
- Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce — marinara, ranch, or honey mustard all work beautifully.
Tip: You can prepare the crescent ring ahead of time, refrigerate it, and bake just before serving!
