- 12 oz (340g) penne or rotini pasta
- 1 lb (450g) ground beef
- 1 tbsp olive oil
For the Sauce:
- 1/2 cup yellow onion, finely diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp ketchup (optional, for extra cheeseburger flavor)
- 1 tbsp mustard (optional)
Toppings & Garnishes:
- 1/2 cup dill pickles, chopped (optional)
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the Pasta: Boil pasta in salted water according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- Cook the Ground Beef: In a large skillet, heat olive oil and cook ground beef until browned. Drain excess grease and set aside.
- Prepare the Sauce: In the same skillet, sauté onions and garlic until fragrant. Add heavy cream, paprika, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer.
- Melt the Cheeses: Reduce heat and stir in cheddar and Parmesan cheese until melted. Add ketchup and mustard if desired.
- Combine: Mix cooked pasta and beef into the sauce, stirring well. Add pickles if using.
- Garnish & Serve: Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve hot.
