Penne pasta with meatballs is a dish that never fails to deliver comfort and satisfaction. It’s one of my favorite go-to meals, thanks to its simplicity and the rich, hearty flavors that come together in every bite.

This classic Italian-American recipe features tender, seasoned meatballs simmered in a robust tomato-based sauce, all tossed with al dente penne pasta. The meatballs, made from your choice of beef, pork, turkey, or a blend, are infused with garlic, herbs, and Parmesan cheese for a flavorful punch. The accompanying tomato sauce, enriched with garlic, onions, and Italian herbs, serves as the perfect complement, clinging to the ridged surface of the penne pasta, ensuring that every bite is bursting with flavor. Step 1: Prepare the Meatballs

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg ground beef mix
  • ¼ cup breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Knorrox All-in-One seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, cheddar cheese, Knorrox seasoning, and olive oil.
  2. Mix well, then roll the mixture into small balls.
  3. Place the meatballs on a baking tray and bake at 180°C (350°F) for about 20 minutes or until fully cooked.

Step 2: Cook the Penne Pasta

Instructions:

  1. Cook 2 cups of penne pasta according to the package directions.
  2. Once cooked, drain the pasta and set it aside.

Step 3: Prepare the Sauce

Ingredients:

  • ¼ cup mushrooms, sliced
  • ½ onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon crushed garlic
  • ¼ cup green pepper, chopped
  • 1 grated tomato (or use cocktail tomatoes for added flavor)
  • 250 ml fresh cream
  • 1 tablespoon Knorrox All-in-One seasoning

Instructions:

  1. In a large pan, heat a small amount of olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion, green pepper, and crushed garlic, and sauté until softened.
  3. Stir in the grated tomato and mushrooms, cooking for an additional 2 minutes.
  4. Pour in the fresh cream and let the sauce simmer for 5 minutes over medium heat.
  5. Gently stir in the cooked penne pasta and meatballs, mixing everything together until well combined.
  6. Adjust the seasoning to your preference.

Final Touches

  • If desired, sprinkle some grated cheese over the top.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
