Looking for a delightful treat to impress your family and friends this holiday season?
This Easy Breakfast Cheese Danish is the perfect solution!
With its rich, creamy filling and flaky crust, it’s a crowd-pleaser that takes less than an hour to make.
Ingredients
For the Danish:
- 2 cans refrigerated crescent rolls
- 2 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
- 1 egg white
For the glaze:
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Roll out one can of crescent rolls and press the dough into the bottom of the dish, pinching the seams together to create a smooth layer.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and egg. Beat until the mixture is creamy and smooth. Spread this evenly over the crescent roll layer.
- Roll out the second can of crescent rolls and carefully lay it over the cream cheese layer. Press the edges gently to seal.
- Brush the top layer with egg white to achieve a glossy, golden-brown crust. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden and set. Let the Danish cool slightly.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract. Drizzle the glaze generously over the Danish.
