Sausage Pancillos Recipe

Sausage Pancillos

Ingredients:

  • 250g flour
  • 3g dry yeast
  • 12g sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 42g butter
  • 125ml warm milk
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 12 sausages
  • Parsley for decoration

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Dough:

    • In a large bowl, combine the flour, dry yeast, sugar, 1 egg, melted butter, warm milk, and salt.
    • Mix thoroughly until the ingredients form a homogeneous dough.
    • Cover the bowl with a clean cloth and let the dough rest for 90 minutes in a warm place.
  2. Shape the Dough:

    • After the dough has rested, divide it into 12 equal portions.
    • Roll each portion into a thin strip.
  3. Wrap the Sausages:

    • Take each sausage and wrap it with the rolled-out dough.
    • Place the wrapped sausages on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
    • Let them rest for an additional 30 minutes.
  4. Bake:

    • Preheat your oven to 356ºF (180ºC).
    • Beat the remaining egg and brush it over the wrapped sausages.
    • Sprinkle chopped parsley on top for decoration.
    • Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
  5. Serve:

    • Let the sausage pancillos cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
