You don’t need fancy ingredients to create a crowd-pleasing appetizer. This recipe is proof!

Ingredients:

  • 2 cans of refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 1/2 pound of deli sliced roast beef
  • 1 cup of grated Swiss cheese
  • 1 packet of dry onion soup mix
  • 1/4 cup of melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 cup of beef broth for dipping

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Prepare a 9×13 inch baking dish by spraying it with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Base Layer: Roll out one can of crescent rolls into the bottom of the baking dish, pinching together any seams to form a solid layer.
  3. Add Roast Beef and Cheese: Layer the roast beef over the crescent roll dough, followed by an even sprinkling of Swiss cheese.
  4. Prepare and Add the Sauce: In a small bowl, combine the dry onion soup mix, melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder. Drizzle this mixture over the cheese layer.
  5. Top Layer: Roll out the second can of crescent roll dough and place it on top, pinching together any seams.
  6. Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 15 to 20 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the squares are fully cooked.
  7. Prepare the Dipping Sauce: While the squares are baking, warm the beef broth in a small pot over medium heat.
  8. Cool and Cut: Once baked, allow the French Dip Squares to cool slightly before cutting them into squares.
  9. Serve: Serve the squares alongside the warmed beef broth for dipping.

Enjoy your homemade take on a classic French Dip, transformed into an easy-to-share treat!
