Spicy Steak Fajitas

Indulge in the vibrant flavors of this classic Mexican-inspired dish—Spicy Steak Fajitas. This recipe combines tender strips of sirloin steak with a colorful array of bell peppers and onions, all enveloped in warm tortillas and topped with a generous sprinkle of Mexican Blend cheese.

Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds sirloin steak, thinly sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 large yellow onion, thinly sliced
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • ½ tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • ⅛ tsp cayenne pepper
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 cups Mexican Blend cheese, shredded
  • 6 to 8 tortillas

Instructions:

Step 1:

Begin by preparing the steak. Place the thinly sliced sirloin in a resealable plastic bag. Add the chili powder, ground cumin, cayenne pepper, minced garlic, lime juice, and olive oil. Seal the bag tightly and shake well to ensure the steak is evenly coated with the spices.

Step 2:

Next, add the sliced bell peppers and onions to the same bag. Reseal the bag and shake again to distribute the seasoning over the vegetables.

Step 3:

Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, pour the contents of the bag into the skillet. Sauté until the vegetables are tender and the steak is cooked to your desired level of doneness.

Step 4:

Serve the sizzling steak and vegetables in warm tortillas. Garnish with shredded Mexican Blend cheese and your choice of additional toppings. Enjoy the flavorful and satisfying experience!
