Strawberry Cake with Frosting

Ingredients
For the Cake:
- 1 box white cake mix
- 1 (3-ounce) package strawberry Jell-O gelatin dessert
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- ¼ cup water
- 1 (10-ounce) package frozen strawberries, thawed
For the Frosting:
- 1 (1 lb) package powdered sugar
- ⅓ cup butter, softened
- Remaining strawberries from the package
Directions
Preparing the Cake:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 12×9-inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, mix the cake mix, Jell-O, and eggs.
- Add oil, water, and half of the thawed strawberries. Mix well.
- Beat the mixture on medium speed for 2 minutes.
- Pour into the prepared pan and bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool completely before frosting.
Making the Frosting:
- In a bowl, mix powdered sugar, softened butter, and remaining strawberries until smooth.
- Spread evenly over the cooled cake.
