Southern Sweet Potato Casserole
Ingredients:
- 3 cups sweet potatoes
 - 1/2 cup sugar
 - 1/2 cup butter
 - 2 beaten eggs
 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
 - 1/3 cup milk
 
Topping:
- 1/3 cup melted butter
 - 1 cup light brown sugar
 - 1/2 cup flour
 - 1 cup chopped pecans
 
Directions:
- Boil the sweet potatoes until tender, then mash them thoroughly.
 - In a large bowl, combine the mashed sweet potatoes with sugar, butter, beaten eggs, vanilla extract, and milk. Mix until smooth.
 - Transfer the mixture to a 13×9 inch baking dish, spreading it evenly.
 - For the topping, melt the butter and mix it with the brown sugar, flour, and chopped pecans until well combined.
 - Sprinkle the topping evenly over the sweet potato mixture.
 - Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 25 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the casserole is heated through.
