Ingredients:

  • 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • A pinch of salt
  • 2 sticks of butter, at room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for coating)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream the Butter and Sugar: In a large mixing bowl, combine the room-temperature butter with ½ cup of powdered sugar. Mix until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  3. Incorporate Dry Ingredients: Gradually add the flour and a pinch of salt to the butter mixture. Stir until well-combined, then blend in the vanilla extract.
  4. Fold in the Walnuts: Gently fold in the chopped walnuts, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  5. Shape the Cookies: Roll the dough into small, 1-inch balls and place them onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake: Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for approximately 12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. Allow the cookies to cool on a wire rack.
  7. Coat with Sugar: Once the cookies have cooled to room temperature, roll them in the remaining cup of powdered sugar until fully coated.
  8. Serve and Enjoy: These cookies are best served fresh, offering a melt-in-your-mouth texture with a sweet, nutty flavor.
