Ingredients:
- ½ white onion, diced
- 2 tsp freshly minced garlic
- 1 can diced tomatoes (undrained)
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1½ pounds lean ground beef
- 2 tbsp pickle relish
- 3 cups beef broth
- 2 tsp yellow mustard
- 8 ounces bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 8 ounces frozen Southern-style hash browns
- 1½ cups freshly shredded cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
- Prepare the Ground Beef and Vegetables:
- In a large skillet, crumble and brown the ground beef over medium heat.
- Add the frozen hash browns and diced onion, cooking until the onions become soft and translucent.
- Drain any excess fat from the meat.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté briefly until fragrant.
- Assemble in the Slow Cooker:
- Transfer the cooked ground beef mixture into your slow cooker.
- Add the diced tomatoes with their juice, yellow mustard, pickle relish, and Worcestershire sauce.
