Feeling under the weather? These Flu/Cold Tea Bombs are a powerful, natural remedy packed with immunity-boosting ingredients. They’re easy to prepare, convenient to store, and can be quickly transformed into a soothing cup of tea whenever needed.
Ingredients
- 2 whole lemons (peeled)
- 2 large bunches of fresh ginger
- 1 whole head of garlic
- 2 tablespoons turmeric powder
- 1 tablespoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1 ½ tablespoons cayenne pepper (optional, adjust for spice level)
- ½ tablespoon apple cider vinegar (ACV)
- 1 ½ tablespoons honey (or maple syrup/agave for a vegan option)
- 3 cups water
Instructions
1. Prepare the Ingredients
- Peel the lemons and cut them into smaller pieces for easier blending.
- Chop the fresh ginger into chunks after peeling.
- Separate and peel all the cloves from the garlic head.
2. Blend
Add the prepared lemons, ginger, garlic, turmeric, black pepper, cinnamon, cayenne pepper (if using), apple cider vinegar, honey, and water into a high-speed blender. Blend the mixture until smooth.
3. Strain
Using a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth, strain the mixture to remove pulp and solids, leaving a smooth liquid. Discard or compost the solids.
4. Freeze
Pour the strained liquid into a silicone muffin tray or ice cube tray, measuring about 1/8 cup (2 tablespoons) per portion. Freeze for 4-6 hours or overnight until completely solid.
5. Store
Once frozen, pop the tea bombs out of the tray and transfer them into an airtight container or freezer-safe bag. Store in the freezer for up to 3 months.
How to Use
Drop one tea bomb into a cup of hot water, stir until dissolved, and enjoy the warm, revitalizing beverage. Perfect for boosting immunity and soothing cold or flu symptoms!
