Low-Carb Crack Slaw Recipe
Low-Carb Crack Slaw Recipe
Deliciously reminiscent of the inside of an egg roll, this Low-Carb Crack Slaw is a flavorful and healthy option.
Ingredients:
- 2 lbs Ground beef or turkey
- 2 bags Cole slaw mix
- 4 Green onions, chopped
- 3 tsp Minced garlic
- 3 tbsp Soy sauce
- 2 tbsp Sesame oil
- 2 tsp Red pepper flakes
- 2 tsp Ground ginger
- Optional: 1 packet of Splenda
Instructions:
-
Cook the Ground Meat:
Brown the ground beef or turkey in a pan as you normally would. Once fully cooked, drain any excess fat and set the meat aside.
-
Prepare the Vegetables:
In a separate pan, heat the sesame oil over medium heat. Add the soy sauce, chopped green onions, and minced garlic. Stir-fry until the onions and garlic are tender.
-
Combine Ingredients:
Add the cole slaw mix, crushed red pepper, and ground ginger to the pan with the vegetables. Continue to cook until the cabbage is mostly tender but still has a slight crunch. Return the cooked ground meat to the pan, mixing it with the vegetables. If desired, add a touch more soy sauce for additional flavor.
-
Optional Sweetness:
For a hint of sweetness, you can add a packet of Splenda to the mixture and stir well.
-
Serve:
Enjoy this dish hot as a perfect low-carb, moderate-fat, and moderate-protein meal.
