Preparation Approach
Ingredients:
- 150 grams of yogurt
- 120 grams of sugar
- 380 grams of flour
- 8 grams of baking powder
- 120 milliliters of vegetable oil
- 200 grams of semi-sweet chocolate
- 2 tablespoons of chopped almonds
- Vanilla extract or vanillin
Preparation Steps:
1. Preparing the Dough
Begin by preparing the dough for the cookies. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the yogurt, sugar, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Gradually add the flour and baking powder, mixing thoroughly until all ingredients are fully incorporated and a uniform dough is formed.
2. Shaping the Cookies
Once the dough is ready, it’s time to shape the cookies. Roll the dough into small balls with your hands, then gently press them down to form cookies of your desired size and shape. You can create various shapes such as round, oval, or use cookie cutters for more intricate designs.
3. Baking
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Arrange the shaped cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake them for approximately 20 minutes or until the cookies turn a light golden brown. Once baked, remove them from the oven and allow them to cool completely before proceeding to the next step.
4. Preparing the Chocolate Coating
As the cookies cool, prepare the chocolate coating. Melt the semi-sweet chocolate using a bain-marie or in a microwave-safe bowl. Once the chocolate is fully melted, stir in the chopped almonds, ensuring they are well coated with chocolate.
5. Coating the Cookies
The next step is to carefully dip each cookie into the melted chocolate mixture, ensuring they are evenly coated. Allow any excess chocolate to drip off before placing the cookies on a parchment-lined surface to set.
6. Setting the Chocolate
Allow the chocolate-covered cookies to rest at room temperature until the chocolate hardens completely. This step may take some time, but the result is worth the wait – perfectly coated, delicious cookies that are sure to impress!
